Gamma Colony: Biweekly Update #1

September 9th, 2018 Update

Tau Kappa Epsilon is back on campus and firing on all cylinders. Quad day saw us rack up 100+ new potentials. The rush committee worked around the clock to reach out, establish connections, and get these guys into our house. The first event involved plenty of burgers and dogs cooked up by our finest Gamma colony chefs. Poker night at the house was a fantastic way to connect with the guys over some cards. Football night with some pizza helped demonstrate our laid back nature when it comes to brotherhood events. Our unrelenting effort has paid off well. Seven bids have already been signed, and plenty of potentials are showing interest in joining. The energy running through us is palpable. If we can sustain this tremendous momentum, the sky's the limit for this colony.

The Gamma Colony of Tau Kappa Epsilon at University of Illinois was installed as a chapter on February 3, 1912.

Since 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon has never had an exclusionary clause for membership. TKE does not judge men on their wealth, rank or honor, but instead on their personal worth and character.

Our mission is to "to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life." In essence, we build Better Men for a Better World.
